Royal Decree 902/2020, of October 13, on equal pay between women and men, specifies the details of the salary register that all companies must have from April 14, 2021.
This document collects all the data in relation to salaries, including the managerial staff and senior positions of each company.
These new measures are intended to increase the transparency of remuneration and to achieve easier access to this information regardless of income and the size of the company; as well as allowing to verify whether or not inequalities occur in them.
Although these measures already existed in 2019, the regulatory development was not established until 2020, leaving a period of 6 months for companies to adapt. Therefore, from April 14, 2021, all companies must have this salary record for their entire workforce.
The items to be collected by the mandatory salary register, disaggregated by sex, are:
● Average salary values.
● Average values of salary supplements.
● Average values of extra salary perceptions.
